~PLANNING A NEWS YEARS PARTY AT YOUR HOUSE~

>> February 26, 2009

When planning your New Years Eve Party at your home you have a lot of freedoms that you don't have if you hold it in a public location. You can decide the theme, the guest list, menu, and decorations.

Theme: Using a theme can make yout planning more complicated or can help, depending on what you choose to do. You can coordinate the food, beverages, and attire of your guests with the theme. It can also limit your choices in those area as well.

Guest List: Take into consideration the size of your home, number of rooms, and parking. All these things can help you judge how many to invite. You want your guests to be comfortable and not feel cramped.

Menu: Keep it simple. No need to make your menu complicated or extensive. Simple finger foods with a couple main dishes work great.

Decorations: Again, don't go overboard. A few decorations can be fun and don't forget the blowers for midnight!

Main thing to remember is that you want all your guests to have fun and be comfortable in your home! Don't start your party too early either. People will be at your home late and you don't want bordem to set in.

Enjoy your party and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!
